Hear the Bristol post-rock group’s ‘Phonograph Space’.

Movietone have announced plans for a digital and physical reissue of their second album.
The beloved Bristol post-rock group’s Day And Night will re-release through Domino Recording Company in partnership with UK record stores Monorail and World Of Echo on 16th October, marking the first time that the long out-of-print work has been available on any physical format subsequent to its original release in 1997. The album’s newly plotted CD and vinyl editions will be presented with a booklet designed by Movietone’s principal songwriter Kate Wright featuring archival captions and images alongside liner notes written by Stephen McRobbie of The Pastels. A deluxe version of the vinyl edition will also include a bonus 7” single featuring ‘Phonograph Space’, a previously unheard song recorded during the album’s studio sessions and accompanying B-side ‘Marine Océano’ limited to 350 copies.
