TTNG have announced the release of a new EP.
Juggling Moves (Beginner) is out digitally today and signals the outset of a pivotal new chapter for the revered Oxford math rock band, representing both their first collection of new music to materialise in a decade and first songs to have been written with founding vocalist Stuart Smith in fifteen years. Together, the quartet – now comprising Smith, drummer Chris Collis, guitarist Tim Collis and vocalist and multi-instrumentalist Henry Tremain – assembled their newly debuted project over a period of two years before undertaking studio sessions at Brighton Electric with Mark Roberts in April 2026. The resultant songs are said to mark the first in a planned trilogy of releases and exhibit the band’s granular intricacies on exceptional form whilst deftly underpinning a welcomed return from Smith’s emotive vocal delivery. Following the EP’s release TTNG will embark on a pair of sold out live performances in Oxford and Brighton which are currently expected to be the band’s only headline concerts of the year.
TTNG’s latest full-length album Disappointment Island released in 2016, succeeded by the arrival of an acoustic reimagining of 2008’s Animals and accompanying tour – both notably featuring the participation of Smith – in 2018 to celebrate the beloved debut album’s tenth anniversary. During TTNG’s recent tenure of retreat from public view Henry Tremain has revived his long-dormant 2000s band pennines surrounding viral online engagement from a new generation of listeners whilst Chris Collis has also launched new bands As Living Arrows and Pancho.
