Crumb announce third album, share titular single

The New York City band’s AMAMA releases independently in May.

Crumb have announced the release of a new album.

AMAMA is aligned for release on May 17th through the praised New York City psych rock outfit’s own Crumb Records imprint, and marks their third full-length studio effort to date following onward from 2021’s Ice Melt. Recorded in Los Angeles with Johnscott Sanford and Foxygen’s Jonathan Rado, the forthcoming album features previously released singles ‘Dust Bunny’ and ‘Crushxd’ among its track listing.

Singer-guitarist Lila Ramani explains of the album’s buoyant and warped, newly premiering titular lead single

“AMAMA is dedicated to my namesake, my grandmother, whose voice is sampled throughout the song. A video sent to me over WhatsApp of her singing originally inspired the melody and ethos of the song, from which I built its glitchy, warped foundation. It’s a love song!”
