Mount Kimbie and King Krule share new collaborative single

‘Empty And Silent’ marks the second of two collaborations to feature on Mount Kimbie’s forthcoming album The Sunset Violent.

Mount Kimbie have shared a new single written in collaboration with British singer-songwriter, multi-instrumentalist and producer King Krule.

‘Empty And Silent’ marks the latest preview of the British electronic outfit’s looming and long-awaited fourth album The Sunset Violet, which releases on April 5th through venerable independent imprint Warp. In addition to featuring two guest appearances from King Krule’s Archy Marshall the album – which is said to have been inspired by the alleged UFO sightings and desert landscape of California’s Yucca Valley where much of the track list’s writing sessions unfolded – is Mount Kimbie’s first full-length effort to materialise since expanding their studio lineup to a quartet configuration featuring drummer Marc Pell and keyboardist Andrea Balency-Béarn.
