1970s New York City jazz figure Alan Braufman announces new album

Infinite Love Infinite Tears arrives in May.

American jazz saxophonist and flautist Alan Braufman has announced the release of a new album.

A notable figure of the loft-centric 1970s New York City jazz landscape, Braufman released his debut solo album Valley Of Search in 1975 through decorated left field imprint India Navigation to widespread praise before continuing onward to become an in-demand horn player in both live and studio environments performing with the likes of The Psychedelic Furs and Philip Glass. After several decades of recording and performing sans-surname Braufman’s newly announced Infinite Love Infinite Tears marks his third album to release under his given name, recorded at Brooklyn’s Bunker Studio and bolstered by a band that includes tenor saxophonist James Brandon Lewis and vibraphonist Patricia Brennan among its personnel.
