The announcement of Inferno follows the appearance of cryptic posters emblazoned with the Scottish electronic duo’s hexagon sun logo across cities including London, Los Angeles and New York in recent weeks.

Boards Of Canada have announced the release of a new album.
Inferno is scheduled for release through Warp on 29th May and will serve as the revered and long-sequestered Scottish electronic duo’s first full-length project of new music to materialise in thirteen years. The announcement of the successor to 2013’s Tomorrow’s Harvest follows weeks of increasing fan speculation that has been fuelled by the appearance of VHS video tapes mailed to fans in the post and posters flyered across cities including London, Los Angeles and New York, all emblazoned with the group’s iconic hexagon sun logo. The album – which marks their fifth to date – comprises eighteen songs and will be available to purchase on both CD and vinyl formats.
