Genghis Tron announce fourth album, share single

The revived Poughkeepsie metal group’s Signal Fire will arrive in June.

Genghis Tron have announced the release of a new album.

Signal Fire is aligned for release through Relapse Records on 12th June and will mark the revived Poughkeepsie metal band’s fourth full-length album to date. The successor to 2021’s widely praised comeback album Dream Weapon was co-produced with Seth Manchester and finds founding members Hamilton Jordan and Michael Sochynsky leading their beloved project in a quintet formation for the first time, once more in collaboration with vocalist Tony Wolski and drummer Nick Yacyshyn alongside newly recruited bassist Kenny Szymanski. Opening track ‘I Am All’ leads the looming album’s announcement, deftly marrying the punishing qualities that characterised Genghis Tron’s formidable Mookie Singerman-fronted first incarnation with the immersive, ambience-swathed explorations that shaped the band’s unexpected awakening at the turn of the decade.

Wolski shares of the album’s themes,

“Signal Fire envisions a Kojima-esque dystopia of endless proxy warfare where the deluge of available information has outmoded the human ability to parse it. A world where those amoral, shameless and cunning enough can literally reshape reality at their whim through sheer insistence.”
