The LA soul dignitary releases Lay Low in January.

Eddie Chacon has announced the release of a new album.
Lay Low is scheduled for arrival on January 31st and marks the revitalised Los Angeles singer-songwriter’s third full-length solo album, following onward from the successes of his critically acclaimed 2020 comeback album Pleasure, Joy And Happiness and last year’s similarly decorated Sundown. After two bouts of fruitful collaboration with in-demand pianist-producer John Carroll Kirby, Lay Low was forged in partnership with kindred spirit Nick Hakim over two years of sessions held at the New York singer-songwriter, multi-instrumentalist and producer’s Brooklyn home studio.
Chacon shares of his collaboration with Hakim,
“I wanted the mood to be hazy & sensual… There’s darkness, but there’s light to be found if you search for it. Nick understood this and created a musical landscape that feels awash in beauty struggling to find its way.”
