Alex Bleeker and Luke Pyenson have announced the release of a new book.
Taste In Music: Eating On Tour With Indie Musicians is scheduled for arrival through Chronicle Books in September and charts the experiences of eating as an independent musician during bouts of time spent travelling on the road. Accompanying the seasoned insights of Bleeker and Pyenson – respectively known within music circles for their roles as members of Real Estate and Frankie Cosmos – are essays and stories from over forty of the pair’s contemporaries and predecessors spanning the breadth of indie rock’s wide-ranging landscape. Among those to appear throughout the publication are Devendra Banhart, Sadie Dupuis of Speedy Ortiz, Chris Frantz of Talking Heads, Geologist of Animal Collective, Mark Ibold of Pavement, Greta Kline of Frankie Cosmos, Damon Krukowski and Naomi Yang of Galaxie 500, Kevin Morby and Weyes Blood.
