Pedro The Lion announce new album, North American tour

The David Bazan-led outfit’s Santa Cruz releases in June.

Pedro The Lion have announced the release of a new album.

Santa Cruz is scheduled for arrival in June through longtime labels Big Scary Monsters and Polyvinyl, marking the decorated indie rock outfit’s seventh album overall and third since principal songwriter David Bazan revived the beloved moniker that garnered him critical acclaim throughout the late 1990s and early 2000s. Following onward from 2019’s Phoenix and 2022’s Havasu, Bazan’s forthcoming project serves the third instalment in a planned five-album arc and was recorded once more in partnership with Seattle-based producer and engineer Andy D. Park.

Surrounding the album’s approaching release Bazan has also announced plans for the group to embark on a promotional North American tour that will encompass performances in Denver, Chicago, Boston, New York City, Philadelphia, Atlanta, Austin, Phoenix, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Portland, Seattle and more, bolstered by support from Danielle Durack, Flock Of Dimes and Squirrel Flower. A pre-sale of tickets to dates on the tour will be available to purchase from April 3rd at 10am here.
