Luaka Bop recently revealed their plans to reissue the late Pharoah Sanders’ elusive 1977 album Pharoah as an expanded 2LP box set featuring remastered audio and a host of rare photographs and other archival materials to accompany the music.
One week from the reissue’s looming arrival the celebrated New York imprint have now shared the forthcoming project’s first preview, an illuminating revival of ‘Love Will Find A Way’. A love letter penned to the saxophonist’s then wife and bandmate for the project Bedria, the composition’s devotional message stretches out over fourteen minutes bolstered by the spellbinding interplay of Sanders and guitarist Tisziji Muñoz.
