Godspeed You! Black Emperor announce 2023 US tour dates

Including a five-day residency at The Chapel, San Francisco.

Revered Canadian instrumental music collective Godspeed You! Black Emperor have shared their plans to return to the road for a series of US tour dates in 2023.

Set to unfold in March, the band’s route will take in ten dates beginning in San Francisco with a five-night residency at The Chapel. Thereafter the tour will make stops in Pioneertown, Garden Grove, Ft. Collins and Salt Lake City before concluding with an appearance at Treefort Music Festival in Boise where the band joins a lineup featuring Unknown Mortal Orchestra, Built To Spill, Drugdealer, MIKE, Kaitlyn Aurelia Smith and more.

The slew of newly announced dates follow a busy year for Godspeed You! Black Emperor that encompassed extensive international touring in support of their seventh album G_d’s Pee AT STATE’S END!. The band’s fabled 1993 debut project All Lights Fucked on the Hairy Amp Drooling also saw its first official release in February with proceeds from all sales donated to the Canadians for Justice and Peace in the Middle East’s campaign to provide medical oxygen to the Gaza Strip.
