The festival returns in August from its new location in Wimborne St. Giles, Dorset.
Decorated UK musical festival We Out Here have announced the first names set to appear at their 2023 event.
Running from August 10th to 14th, the festival reveals that seminal American astral jazz collective Sun Ra Arkestra, peerless London noisemakers black midi and revered British funk troupe Cymande will head up the bill of their fourth iteration’s programme, which is set to unfold from a new-found home within the pastoral milieu of Wimborne St. Giles, Dorset in South West England.
Elsewhere performances from the likes of Marcos Valle, Nubya Garcia, Brian Jackson, Alabaster dePlume and Tom Skinner round out a first wave lineup announcement that strikes a deft balance between venerated legacy acts and forward-thinking contemporary talent.
Founder and creator Gilles Peterson states of the festival’s approaching 2023 edition,
“We are so excited to be sharing the first handful of names for the 4th edition of We Out Here! For now we’ve focused on some of the incredible live performances we’ll have – with some true legends in our midst we simply can’t wait to see – and we also have a huge DJ line up and even more live artists to follow in the new year. It’s set to be one of our most wide-spanning and exciting programmes yet, the perfect way to help us settle into our new home!”
