Patrick Paige II of The Internet announces new album, shares Steve Lacy-featuring single

Pre-orders for If I Fail Are We Still Cool? are live now.

Patrick Paige II of The Internet has announced the release of a new solo album.

Entitled If I Fail Are We Still Cool? the forthcoming sophomore album follow’s 2018’s Letters Of Irrelevance and calls upon appearances from a slew of guests including Chicago linchpin Saba, Erykah Badu collaborator Durand Bernarr and Internet cohorts Steve Lacy and Syd.

Preceding the album’s release new single ‘Whisper (Want My Luv)’ rides an intoxicating downtempo funk groove with Paige’s vocals and sensual lyricism coloured by the vibrant, soulful backing of Durand Bernarr, Allen Love and Steve Lacy.

Also previewed within an accompanying visual for the new single are the skittering electronics and slick raps of the Syd-featuring ‘Ain’t Talkin Bout Much’.

If I Fail Are We Still Cool? releases on May 21st via Fat Possum. Pre-order the album on smokey translucent vinyl via the Rough Trade US website.
