‘What’s Up With You?’ marks Wise’s first new music since her 2018 single ‘Real Thang’ and the recent birth of her child with Texas musician Jon Bap.
Boasting the same serene and enveloping vocal arrangements that brought Wise to prominence through her To Pimp A Butterfly collaborations with Kendrick Lamar punctuated by sparse and heady electronics, hear ‘What’s Up With You?’ below.
Wise recently confirmed that a solo album is due for arrival soon with shows to preview her latest body of work taking place on September 6th and 8th in Atlanta and New York respectively. The musician’s last solo album was 2017’s The Feminine: Act II, succeeded by a collaborative album with Jon Bap entitled Geovariance the following year.
