Earl Sweatshirt has announced his first new album in three years.

The follow-up to 2015’s I Don’t Like Shit, I Don’t Go Outside is titled Some Rap Songs and will arrive on November 30th courtesy of Sweatshirt’s own Columbia imprint Tan Cressida.

The album was previously preceded by ‘Nowhere2go’, and now by new single ‘The Mint’ to coincide with the announcement of the forthcoming LP.

Elaborating on the themes behind Some Rap Songs in a press release, Earl has disclosed that the album addresses the recent passing of his father Keorapetse Kgositsile.

“Me and my dad had a relationship that’s not uncommon for people to have with their fathers, which is a non-perfect one,” Earl said. “Talking to him is symbolic and non-symbolic, but it’s literally closure for my childhood. Not getting to have that moment left me to figure out a lot with my damn self.”

Some Rap Songs releases on November 30th via Tan Cressida/Columbia. Pre-orders for the album and various bundles are available here.
