there’s an atm inside is scheduled for arrival through the prolific Canadian singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist’s own SHHOAMKEE Records imprint on 3rd April and will follow onward from seven full-length albums previously released under his beloved Homeshake banner. The newly conceived project – which was recorded directly to cassette tape and is prefaced by lead single ‘wind on the horizon’ – finds Sagar’s trademark sedative vocal incantations deftly navigating yet another sonic departure, placed atop sprawling alt-country and slowcore realms firmly uprooted from the hypnagogic pop and R&B stylings for which he was once best known.
Sagar offers of ‘wind on the horizon’,
“wind on the horizon is about what comes after the end. maybe you don’t belong here anymore, but you belong somewhere else, and now you’re free to find it.”
