Mac DeMarco announces new album, shares single

The Los Angeles-based singer-songwriter will release Guitar in August.

Mac DeMarco has announced the release of a new album.

Guitar is scheduled for independent release through Mac’s Record Label on August 22nd and will mark the beloved Canadian singer-songwriter’s first full-length album to materialise in six years, following on from 2019’s Here Comes The Cowboy and the subsequent 2023 instrumental and compilation collections Five Easy Hot Dogs and One Wayne G. The newly detailed project was recorded over two weeks in November 2024 at DeMarco’s home studio and will be promoted by a previously announced international tour itinerary that unfolds between 2025 and 2026 entailing runs of concerts across North America, Europe and Asia.
