The cult Manchester band have detailed forthcoming live performances in Hyères, Brussels and Manchester.
WU LYF have announced plans for several live performances to take place in 2025.
Today the beloved and long-dormant British band have published a series of live dates to their website worldunite.org, encompassing three concerts to be held at an as-yet-undisclosed location in their home town of Manchester and appearances at European music festivals Les Nuits Botanique in Belgium and Midi Festival in France. The newly announced performances will mark WU LYF’s first since their dissolution in 2012 and follow a series of recently surfaced cryptic teasers pointing toward a reunion including billboards, postcards mailed to fans and a countdown timer listed within the band’s website that ends on April 1st.
WU LYF’s initial run unfolded between 2008 and 2012, yielding a solitary and widely acclaimed full-length album entitled Go Tell Fire To The Mountain. Subsequent to the dissolution of WU LYF frontman Ellery James Roberts launched a long-running collaborative project with Ebony Hoorn named Lost Under Heaven whilst Evans Kati, Tom McClung and Joe Manning continued to collaborate as Los Porcos and McClung adopted the solo moniker Francis Lung.
