Andy Abbott and James Islip have announced the release of their debut EP as Lands & Body.
Dark Mild EP is out now digitally and draws upon a deep-rooted collaborative relationship between British instrumentalists Abbott and Islip, who together are best known and revered for their output as Leeds-based noise rock outfit That Fucking Tank through which the duo released several full-length albums, appeared at festivals including Brainwash, British Wildlife and Leeds and Reading and toured with such kindred spirits as Don Caballero, Foals, Hella, OXES and Q And Not U. Lands & Body’s newly debuted EP was recorded by producer and Bob Tilton alumnus Mark Simms in 2024 and comprises three reworkings of songs from Abbott’s 2020 solo album Erewyrehve, deftly building on the tightly coiled instrumental guitar-drums M.O. that has long rendered Abbott and Islip unwavering lynchpins of West Yorkshire’s DIY and experimental music scene.
