billy woods has announced the release of a new solo album.
GOLLIWOG is scheduled for arrival in May and will mark the revered New York City rapper, producer and label head’s first full-length album to materialise in two years following the Kenny Segal-produced Maps and Armand Hammer’s We Buy Diabetic Test Strips, both released to critical acclaim in 2023. Led by the newly premiered single ‘Misery’, woods’ latest solo entry features contributions from a host of notable collaborators including Armand Hammer stablemate ELUCID, The Alchemist, Cavalier, El-P, Shabaka Hutchings and Kenny Segal, and will be bolstered by a tour of North American and European cities commencing with an appearance at Austin, Texas music festival SXSW.

“When I was nine years old, I wrote a story about an evil golliwog. My mother read it and told me it was overly derivative and needed some work. Here we are.”
