My Bloody Valentine have announced plans to return to the stage in late 2025.
Today the shoegaze luminaries have shared details of a lone concert scheduled to unfold from Dublin’s 3Arena on November 22nd, marking the band’s first live performance in seven years and first headlining appearance in their home country since 1992. Tickets to the forthcoming concert will go on general sale from November 29th, with a limited presale accessible exclusively to those who subscribe to My Bloody Valentine’s newsletter commencing on November 26th.
My Bloody Valentine’s latest full-length album m b v arrived in 2013, twenty-two years subsequent to the critically acclaimed 1991 sophomore album Loveless. Having maintained a low profile in recent years, in 2021 singer-guitarist Kevin Shields confirmed that writing sessions for two albums of new music were underway whilst in conversation with The New York Times. Elsewhere, 2023 saw Shields collaborate with Fender for the release of a signature fuzz effects pedal named the Fender Shields Blender.
