‘Long Waits In A&E’ precedes the commencement of a sold out UK tour in December.

Hope Of The States have shared a new single.
Following news of the band’s reunion in which initial details emerged in July, ‘Long Waits In A&E’ marks the beloved and long-defunct Chichester rock troupe’s first new music to release in eighteen years and precedes the commencement of a sold out run of UK tour dates beginning in December.
A typically sprawling and cinematic affair that deftly navigates towering dynamic shifts, a forward-looking linear structure and the hypnotic hum of feedback-swathed drones, ‘Long Waits In A&E’ was recorded between studio sessions held in Margate, Chichester and Copenhagen with Jolyon Thomas, son of the late Ken Thomas who produced Hope Of The States’ critically acclaimed 2004 debut album The Lost Riots.
Formed in 2000 Hope Of The States’ inaugural run lasted six years, encompassing the release of two full-length albums coloured by post-rock sensibilities and international touring at times accompanied by such kindred spirits as Youthmovies.
