The space will mark the famed music retailer’s fourth London outpost.
Independent music retailer Rough Trade have announced the launch of a new store location.
Slated to open doors in mid-October, the fabled and ever-growing vinyl merchant’s seventh national outpost is set to be located on London’s Denmark Street and will mark the first time that the iconic West End passage – affectionately known as Tin Pan Alley within musical circles – has played host to a record store. Joining the company’s East, West and Soho locations, Rough Trade Denmark Street will offer a curation of vinyl, books, clothing and in-store album signings across two floors whilst partnering with recently launched neighbouring venues HERE and The Lower Third for out-store live music events.
Rough Trade’s Lawrence Montgomery states of the newly detailed expansion
“We are thrilled to bring Rough Trade to London’s iconic Denmark Street, a location that holds such a profound place in the city’s music history. Our new store will house an extensive selection of curated vinyl across all genres, as well as a specialist book selection and exclusive merchandise. With its rich heritage and ongoing legacy, Denmark Street is the perfect setting for our next chapter, fostering its own unique community, while also offering all the vibrancy and expertise customers have come to expect when visiting Rough Trade. We look forward to welcoming music fans to explore, discover and celebrate music and culture, continuing our tradition of being more than just a record store.”
