BADBADNOTGOOD have released a new EP.
Entitled Mid Spiral: Chaos, the revered and multifaceted Toronto jazz trio’s latest project arrives through XL Recordings and longtime label Innovative Leisure with guest contributions from Felix Fox-Pappas, Tyler Lott, Juan Carlos Medrano and Kaelin Murphy. Comprising six songs, the EP features ‘Celestial Hands’, ‘Last Laugh’ and ‘Setima Regra’ among its track list subsequent to each song being previewed exclusively through the band’s website for a limited time last week.
BADBADNOTGOOD’s latest full-length studio album Talk Memory released to widespread critical acclaim in 2021. In the time since the band have embarked upon collaboration with Daniel Caesar, Turnstile and Baby Rose in addition to focusing on solo works, with guitarist-saxophonist Leland Whitty releasing a jazz-rooted full-length album entitled Anyhow in 2022 and bassist Chester Hansen releasing two buoyant, hypnagogic pop-informed double singles under his burgeoning Fieldrow guise in 2023 and 2024.
In addition to carving a path for the arrival of new music this year will also see BADBADNOTGOOD tour throughout the Summer, encompassing previously confirmed appearances at London’s Cross The Tracks Festival, Barcelona’s Primavera Sound and more.
