The rendition features on a forthcoming album paying tribute to the revered Japanese songwriter, multi-instrumentalist and producer.

Los Angeles pianist and producer John Carroll Kirby has shared a cover of Haruomi Hosono’s ‘Fuku Wa Uchi Oni Wa Soto’ recorded in collaboration with The Mizuhara Sisters.
Kirby’s newly premiered rendition arrives in advance of a full-length project curated by Stones Throw Records that will pay tribute to the revered Japanese songwriter, multi-instrumentalist and producer succeeding the recent fiftieth anniversary of his enduring debut solo album Hosono House. Elsewhere the approaching homage to the Yellow Magic Orchestra component is slated to feature contributions from Jerry Paper, Akiko Yano, Sam Gendel and Mac DeMarco, whose recording of ‘Boku Wa Chotto’ previously surfaced in February.
