Cemetery Classics will arrive through No Gold and Sonic Cathedral in June.

Moses Archuleta has announced the release of a new Moon Diagrams album.
The American multi-instrumentalist and founding Deerhunter component’s Cemetery Classics will release through No Gold and Sonic Cathedral on June 21st featuring creative contributions from James Ford, Anastasia Coope and more. The forthcoming project marks Archuleta’s second full-length album to release under his solo guise and ends a period of musical retreat undertaken by members of the Bradford Cox-led indie rock outfit, whose last full-length album Why Hasn’t Everything Already Disappeared? released in 2019.
Of his latest body of work Archuleta muses,
“James and I had talked about industrial noise and the tape experiments going on in some Faust recordings and the rudimentary appeal of the first Daft Punk record. I was also thinking about massive sculpture – Richard Serra and stuff like that – and trying to create music that takes up space. It’s the inverse of a desert island disc – a graveyard disc. Songs to take into the afterlife.”
