The New York musician’s Night Reign releases in May.
Arooj Aftab has announced the release of a new album.
The lauded New York singer-songwriter and Berklee alumnus’ Night Reign is scheduled for release on May 31st and follows onward from the global critical acclaim received in response to her landmark, Grammy spawning 2021 third solo effort Vulture Prince. The forthcoming album was self-produced by Aftab and features Vijay Iyer, Marc Anthony Thompson and Moor Mother among its roster of collaborators.
Aftab previously shared of her newly announced body of work’s themes,
“The music is about the night and how it has all of these sides to it: the fun, sexy side, the contemplative side, or the resting side. The various personalities of the night and how they have a hold of us.”
