American singer-songwriter Andrew Savage has released a new EP entitled The Loft Sessions.
The Parquet Courts component’s latest offering was recorded last October in session at Wilco’s famed Chicago studio facility The Loft whilst in the midst of a North American tour promoting his 2023 sophomore solo album Several Songs About Fire. Bolstered by the accompaniment of his touring band – which includes members of Modern Nature, Sharpie Smile, Sunwatchers and White Fence – the EP’s track list comprises a rendition of ‘Wild, Wild, Wild Horses’ from Savage’s 2017 album Thawing Dawn alongside covers of songs from Lavender Country, Kevin Ayers and Johnny Paycheck.
