Brazilian guitarist Fabiano do Nascimento and American saxophonist Sam Gendel have convened for the release of a collaborative album.

The Room was recorded over a two day period at a basement studio facility situated in LA’s tranquil Pacific Palisades neighbourhood, coalescing the musicians’ 7-string nylon guitar and soprano saxophone over ten tender but captivating and deeply emotive instrumental compositions that trace broad realms of music from the South American continent. Though marking do Nascimento and Gendel’s inaugural full-length studio collaboration as a duo, the pair are said to have been long acquainted, first meeting through a spontaneous live performance in 2011 and later reconvening for further collaboration most notably in support of famed Brazilian percussionist Airto Moreira.
