The indie rock veterans will return to the road with accompaniment from Cat Power beginning in May.
American indie rock veterans Modest Mouse and Pixies have announced plans for a North American tour itinerary to unfold in 2024.
Regrouping on the heels of a previous joint tour that concluded in 2023, the groups’ forthcoming itinerary is set to commence in May and will encompass stops in Atlanta, Pittsburgh, Toronto, Philadelphia, New York City, Chicago, Austin, Denver and more. Chan Marshall will provide support under her Cat Power moniker throughout.
Modest Mouse’s latest full-length album The Golden Casket arrived in 2021, whilst Pixies released their eighth full-length album Doggerel the following year. 2022 also saw Modest Mouse frontman Isaac Brock reveal that he had begun work on new material in collaboration once more with former bandmate Johnny Marr, whose tenure with the seminal Portland band ran from 2006 to 2008 and yielded the enduring full-length album We Were Dead Before The Ship Even Sank.
