A LA SALA arrives on April 5th.

Texas groove merchants Khruangbin have announced the release of a new album.
A LA SALA was recorded in collaboration with longtime engineer Steve Christensen and marks the multifaceted Houston trio’s fourth full-length album to date succeeding 2020’s Mordechai and subsequent collaborative projects forged with Leon Bridges and Vieux Farka Touré. The group’s forthcoming album will release through Dead Oceans on April 5th, preceded by the newly premiered lead single ‘A Love International’ and a three-date residency of concerts held at famed New York City music venue Bowery Ballroom between March 27th and 29th. Physical editions of A LA SALA will be housed in seven different René Magritte-inspired covers drawn from guitarist Mark Speer’s archive of photographs captured whilst on the road, each paired with a matching vinyl colour variant.
Bassist Laura Lee Ochoa explains of the project,
“‘A La Sala,’ I used to scream it around my house when I was a little girl, to get everybody in the living room; to get my family together. That’s kind of what recording the new album felt like. Emotionally there was a desire to get back to square-one between the three of us, to where we came from–in sonics and in feeling. Let’s get back there.”
