Neo soul luminary D’Angelo has re-emerged for the release of a new song made in collaboration with Jay-Z and Jeymes Samuel.
The nine-minute-long ‘I Want You Forever’ was penned for and features on the soundtrack for Samuel’s film The Book Of Clarence, which released in the United States today and features Lakeith Stanfield starring in its titular role. The song marks D’Angelo’s first widely released single since ‘Unshaken’, his contribution to the soundtrack for the 2018 video game Red Dead Redemption 2.
D’Angelo’s last full-length album Black Messiah released to critical acclaim in 2014. In the time since he has made guest appearances on projects from Rapsody and Slingbaum.
