The famed music retailer’s sixth national outpost will be situated on Hanover Street.
Independent music retailer Rough Trade have announced plans to launch a new store location in Liverpool.
Slated to open in early 2024, the fabled vinyl merchant’s sixth national outpost will be situated on Hanover Street and mark their largest UK location to date, housed within a 6,500 square foot retail space. Notable facilities will include a bar and cafe and a dedicated venue space for hosting live events. Partners of Rough Trade Liverpool will include Dark Arts Coffee, Signature Brew, Sound City, Content and DICE.
Rough Trade’s Managing Director Lawrence Montgomery states of the looming expansion,
“We are excited to grow our UK presence with a store in Liverpool. The city has such a rich musical heritage as well as a vibrant scene right now which we hope to honour and represent in the best way we can. The scale (both size and ambition) of the store shows our commitment and investment to the city. We can’t wait to delight customers in the record store and venue in due course.”
