The enduring pianist’s 3 will release on January 26th.

South African jazz luminary Abdullah Abrahim has announced the release of a new full-length album.
3 will release on January 26th through Gearbox Records and comprise two halves collecting recordings captured during a recent sold out appearance at London’s esteemed Barbican Centre held in the Summer of this year. The album’s first set of recordings were tracked sans audience to a 1″ Scully tape machine previously utilised by Elvis Presley, whilst the latter presents recordings captured from Ibrahim’s subsequent evening performance bolstered by the accompaniment of Cleave Guyton and Noah Jackson helming woodwinds and bass/cello in a fluid trio configuration.
