The festival will return to South London’s Brockwell Park next Spring.
Wide Awake Festival have resurfaced to announce hyper-productive Australian psych rock outfit King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard as the first headlining act set to appear at their forthcoming 2024 edition.
The announcement arrives as the festival lay early foundations for their return to South London’s Brockwell Park next May in succession of a sold out 2023 edition that featured Arooj Aftab, Black Country, New Road, Jockstrap, Osees, Sunset Rollercoaster and Warmduscher amongst a standout lineup.
Today’s headliner reveal arrives just days after King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard announced the release of their twenty-fifth album The Silver Cord. The forthcoming album will mark the band’s second album to release in 2023 following June’s metal-leaning PetroDragonic Apocalypse.
