Maxo announces new album and North American tour

Debbie’s Son releases on September 28th through the California rapper’s own SMILEFORME imprint.

Maxo has announced the release of a new album.

Debbie’s Son will arrive on September 28th and marks the California rapper’s second album to release in 2023 following on from the widely praised Even God Has A Sense Of Humor. The MC’s forthcoming full-length effort features a lone guest appearance from Zelooperz and production credits from The Alchemist, Ahwlee and more.

Aligning with the album’s announcement Maxo has also announced plans to embark upon a North American tour commencing in November. Following a previously announced appearance at Tyler, The Creator’s 2023 edition of Camp Flog Gnaw Carnival, the newly announced itinerary will see Maxo perform in Boston, Philadelphia, New York, Montreal, Toronto, Chicago, Portland, Seattle, San Francisco and more.

Of his forthcoming album Maxo explains

“Skin sheds to reveal a version of me yet seen. Trials, tribulations, realizations. Everything contributed to the human. An attempt to not become my reactions. An attempt to retract to my purest form. Who is Maxo ? When nothing else matters? Love sharing the same coin as hate. Can’t go backwards. Embracing what’s to come. New blessings. Can’t keep extending myself for what does not love me, for me. No more superficial friendships or conversations. Getting rid of everything just to see what’s genuinely here for me.”
