Slowdive release keenly awaited fifth album

Everything Is Alive arrives through Dead Oceans.

British shoegaze fixtures Slowdive have released their long-awaited fifth album.

Everything Is Alive was written and recorded over a several year period with initial ideas noted to have been formed from guitarist and vocalist Neil Halstead’s home experimentations with modular synthesis. Recording sessions for the album took place between Oxfordshire, Lincolnshire and Cornwall with Shawn Everett later recruited to mix much of the project’s comprising works.

Everything Is Alive succeeds the venerated band’s self-titled fourth album, which released to critical acclaim in 2017 and marked the end of a lengthy hiatus.
