Boston shoegaze outfit Drop Nineteens announce first album in thirty years

New single ‘Scapa Flow’ leads the announcement.

Boston shoegaze outfit Drop Nineteens have announced the release of a new album.

Hard Light is scheduled for release on November 3rd, marking the revitalised group’s first album to release in thirty years and third full-length project overall in succession of 1993’s National Coma. Recording sessions for the forthcoming album commenced in 2022 between Boston, San Francisco and Los Angeles featuring founding members Greg Ackell, Steve Zimmerman, Paula Kelley and Motohiro Yasue bolstered by National Coma-era drummer Peter Koeplin.

Leading the announcement of Hard Light today Drop Nineteens have revealed the project’s first single ‘Scapa Flow’ and outlined their plans for a preceding six-date tour of the United States. The group’s itinerary will encompass stops in Washington, Philadelphia, Boston, New York, Los Angeles and Oakland. Tickets for all concerts will be available to purchase from Friday 4th August.
