American saxophonist and vocalist Knoel Scott has released a new full-length album.
Celestial marks the storied musician’s debut studio project to release under his own name, following decades spent innovating within jazz circles as a longstanding member of Sun Ra’s venerated Sun Ra Arkestra. The newly released album was tracked to tape at the all-analogue Artone Studios in the Netherlands with contributions from longtime collaborator and bandmate Marshall Allen, Arkestra alumnus Chris Henderson and burgeoning UK musicians Charlie Stacey and Mikele Montolli.
