Deafheaven have announced a tenth anniversary reissue of their critically acclaimed sophomore album Sunbather.
The forthcoming reissue is scheduled to arrive on November 17th via Deathwish Inc. with original producer Jack Shirley onboarded to helm remixing and remastering duties. A slew of physical editions available to purchase coinciding with the milestone will span various mixed, splatter and transparent colour vinyl variants in addition to CDs and pink and gold cassette tapes.
Succeeding the reissue’s arrival Deafheaven have also announced plans to embark upon a US tour commencing in late November that will encompass live performances in Chicago, Detroit, New York, San Francisco, Los Angeles and more. Touché Amoré will provide support for much of the itinerary. Find ticket information for all newly announced tour dates here.
Founding member and guitarist Kerry McCoy said of Sunbather in an accompanying statement,
“Honestly, Sunbather gave us a career. Before then we were working jobs and had these grandiose dreams, but that was the record that turned us into a real band. Because of that record, we ended up meeting a lot of people around the world that changed our lives and set us on the path we’re on now.”
