‘Ten Billion People’ leads the band’s forthcoming album End.

Post-rock titans Explosions In The Sky have announced the release of a new album. End is expected for arrival on September 15th through Temporary Residence and signals the decorated band’s first full-length album to release since 2016’s The Wilderness.
Of the forthcoming project the group explain,
“Our starting point was the concept of an ending—death, or the end of a friendship or relationship. Every song comes from a story, or an idea one of us has had that we’ve all expanded on and made its own world. Maybe it’s our nature, but we kept feeling that the album title was ultimately open to a lot more interpretation—the end of a thing or a time can mean a stop, but it can also mean a beginning, and what happens after one thing ends might pale in comparison to what it becomes next.”
Commencing on the date of the album’s release Explosions In The Sky will embark upon a two-month tour of the United States and Europe, encompassing performances in Houston, Chicago, Philadelphia, Boston, Washington, New York, Dublin, Manchester, London, Berlin, Paris, Barcelona and more.
