The expanded box set will feature previously unreleased live recordings of ‘Harvest Time’.

Pharoah Sanders’ praised 1977 album Pharoah is set to receive the reissue treatment this year.
Overseen by David Byrne’s Luaka Bop, the forthcoming release will see the late jazz trailblazer’s album remastered and presented within an expanded 2LP box set that contains previously unreleased live renditions of ‘Harvest Time’ and a 24-page booklet comprising rare photographs and other archival materials, interviews with contributors to the album and a conversation with Sanders who gave the project his blessing shortly prior to his death.
In succession of its September 15th release the looming project is also set to be supported by a series of live concerts taking place throughout 2023 and 2024 entitled The Harvest Time Project: A Tribute to Pharoah Sanders. Debuting on November 12th at Le Guess Who? in Utrecht, the concert’s inaugural performance will feature Irreversible Entanglements, Domenico Lancellotti, and special guest Tisziji Muñoz performing ‘Harvest Time’ under the musical direction of Joshua Abrams.
