Jack Cooper, John Edwards, Jeff Tobias and Samuel Hollis have teamed with Trouble In Mind Records for the release of a new live album.
Ephemera was recorded in May 2022 when Edwards, Tobias and Hollis joined Cooper during a residency as Modern Nature at East London music venue Café Oto.
The newly released album takes form as a captivating and dynamic twenty-seven minute suite of free movement, primarily shifting focus between Edwards and Hollis’ wide-ranging approach to dual contrabass duties and Tobias’ expressive saxophone work, which many may be familiar with through his longstanding role as a member of New York City quartet Sunwatchers.
