Mac DeMarco has reemerged once more with the surprise release of an expansive new project.
One Wayne G collects a staggering 199 previously unreleased recordings and arrives on the heels of January’s Five Easy Hot Dogs, marking the Canadian indie rock troubadour’s second musical release to materialise in 2023.
Titles for the newly released project’s comprising tracks indicate the overwhelming trove of material to have been recorded between 2018 and 2023, providing an insight in to DeMarco’s creative activities over a longstanding timeframe that encompassed a lengthy break from touring activities and album releases initiated by the COVID-19 pandemic.
This week DeMarco has also announced plans to return to the road in 2023, embarking upon live performances of Five Easy Hot Dogs in Los Angeles, New York, Paris and London. Ticket information for all of DeMarco’s forthcoming tour dates can be found here.
