A new compilation of recordings from late multi-genre luminary Arthur Russell has been announced.
Set for release on June 23rd through Audika, Picture Of Bunny Rabbit collects a number of works created by Russell in the mid 1980s, closely aligning with the time period that birthed World Of Echo, the sparse and spellbinding final artistic statement to surface from the New York musical fixture during his lifetime. A press release notes the forthcoming compilation’s comprising material to have been largely recorded between Battery Sound Studios, New York, which was located directly opposite the World Trade Center and Russell’s apartment studio situated in the East Village.
