Christine & The Queens curates the event’s latest iteration with planned performances from Django Django, Sigur Rós, Warpaint and KOKOROKO.
Meltdown Festival is set to return in June with Christine & The Queens recently announced to curate the famed London event’s 28th edition.
Known and revered for its eclectic programmes with previous curators including David Byrne, Ornette Coleman, Robert Smith, Scott Walker and Patti Smith, the event’s first iteration unfolded in 1993 and has since become a staple of the UK’s festival calendar.
This week the festival and their latest curator have resurfaced to share the programme for their looming edition, with scheduled performers including UK art rock quartet Django Django, Icelandic post-rock titans Sigur Rós in collaboration with the London Contemporary Orchestra, American indie rock fixtures Warpaint, burgeoning UK Afrobeat and highlife septet KOKOROKO and much more.
