Newly unearthed Sun Ra album announced for release

Prophet arrives on December 16th.

A Sun Ra album recorded in the 1980s has been newly unearthed and is set for its first release.

Prophet is noted to have been recorded in a single day at a 24-track studio within locality of Boston named Mission Centre, its comprising contents centring predominantly around the legendary jazz innovator’s far-reaching experimentations with a Prophet VS synthesizer that was to hand amongst the studio’s broad inventory of instruments.

Due for arrival on December 16th, vinyl iterations of the project’s looming physical release are noted to include an accompanying Prophet instrument brochure or a unique jacket designed from Prophet instrument manual tear outs dependant on the chosen variant.
