Toronto songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Peter Sagar has released 8 volumes of new music under his beloved Homeshake moniker.
A languid and hypnagogic nucleus of the R&B-leaning craft that has cultivated Sagar legions of fans, Pareidolia Catalog comprises a significant undertaking of 126 instrumental tracks recorded over an eight month period between 2020 and 2021 whilst lockdowns remained in place throughout much of the world.
Sagar explains of the project,
“These tracks were made between December 2020 and August 2021. At the time, Salina and I were going on long walks almost everyday, and we’d always point out the faces and things we’d see in houses, walls, trees, cars or whatever. I started recording them with that in mind, using a couple guitars, a po-33 sampler, a mellotron, and various effects pedals, recorded into a looper.“
