Gemini Rights lands on July 15th.

Steve Lacy has shared the next preview of his keenly awaited sophomore album.
The decorated Californian multi-instrumentalist is geared to release Gemini Rights on July 15th, returning focus to his solo output some three years after the release of his celebrated debut album. Maintaining a busy schedule in the time between solo releases, Lacy’s name has remained prevalent in musical circles through lending his homespun, soulful production value to projects from a slew of his peers including Internet comrade Matt Martians, Thundercat, Fousheé and most recently Ravyn Lenae. One of Lacy’s first solo affairs ‘Dark Red’ – which at the time of release was broadly praised in news outlets for being recorded and produced using only his iPhone – also turned platinum this year.
Details surrounding Gemini Rights currently remain scarce, however the project has been confirmed to have been predominantly written, performed and produced by Lacy alone, remaining true to the musician’s self-sufficient and insular vision as a solo artist.
Lifting the veil on the project’s second single, hear new song ‘Bad Habit’ now.
